NEW REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE 9/1/2012
On August 13, 2012 the Los Angeles County Health Department presented 1 Stop Pool Pros, Inc. with revisions to the Department of Health Code of Regulations, Title 24 (Construction Standards) superseding Title 22 and California Code of Regulations, Title 22 (Maintenance Standards).
Effective September 1, 2012, California public pools and spas will be required to adhere to many changes made to the California Code of Regulations, Public Pool Code. This major revision to the California Health and Safety Code will require immediate action to comply. This document highlights major points of revision to include existing pool and new pool constructs.
The provisions of the chapter 31B (DPH) “PUBLIC POOLS” applies to all construction, installation, renovation, alteration, relocation, replacement or use of any public pool and it’s ancillary facilities, mechanical equipment and related piping. Public pools include those located or designated as the following:
Homeowner Association , Condominium,
Apartment House, Municipal Pool, Water Park,
Resort, Hotel & Motel, Townhouse,
Club, Community Building or Area,
Health club or Establishment,
Recreation and Park District, Medical Facility,
Bed & Breakfast, Licensed Daycare Facility, Swim School,
Recreational Vehicle or Mobile Home Park, Campground, Public or Private School.
